STRANGE ADVANCE

Strange Advance is a well-known Canadian new wave band that was formed in the year 1982 in Vancouver. The band gained significant recognition early in their career, as they were nominated for a prestigious Juno Award in 1983 for Most Promising Group of the Year. Their success continued, and they received another nomination in 1985, this time for Group of the Year. Over the years, they released three remarkable albums that made a lasting impact on the Canadian music scene. These albums include Worlds Away, released in 1982, 2WO, which came out in 1985, and The Distance Between, released in 1988. Each of these albums achieved Canadian gold status, showcasing their popularity and the quality of their music.

It is no surprise to the Blend team that Strange Advance is a favourite band of both Ali and Mike. Therefore, they were filled with great excitement when they had the opportunity to collaborate with Drew Arnott on creative projects for their past two Canadian tours.
