For too many people stuck on the 400-series highways, cottage life means long commutes to and from, with only short, intermittent stays at your home away from home.

But did you know that the cottage lifestyle can be found in your own backyard?

Nestled within 500 acres of protected Niagara escarpment lands is a hidden gem: Cedar Springs Community Club. Located in Burlington midway between Highway 401 and the QEW, Cedar Springs was founded over 95 years ago in order that generations of families could enjoy all the benefits of cottage life without actually leaving the city.

Although the change in colours has heralded the transition of summer into fall over the past few weeks, we’re happy to take you back to some of the hottest days in July. That’s when we were welcomed into the family and spent the day at Cedar Springs adding sunscreen and Fitbit steps in equal measure as we documented their celebrated community.

Learn more about Cedar Springs Community Club here (while checking out the website we designed and developed) and see some of their location photos here.
